A lovely evening of food+drink pairings at Osteria La Buca.


I worked in a restaurant for roughly four years until it came to a halting stop in March 2020. It was a bittersweet but necessary ending. There were some excellent moments and some not-so-excellent moments, but ultimately I left with much more than I initially walked in with—namely, my relationship with Cait. I also gained a deeper and richer understanding of the intricacies of food, beverage, and the culture surrounding dining experiences.

As I shifted into a different job title and lifestyle, I continued to share my knowledge within my small circles of family and friends. I ultimately yearned to give these experiences to more people, and (of course) without the alcohol, so I decided to do just that. This past week CLEARHEADED hosted a private dining experience at Osteria La Buca- the very same restaurant that sparked my love of hospitality. It was a small and intimate gathering of some of our favorite people. I paired each course with a different bottle of NON, and we discussed the complexity of how each dish changed as we sipped from our glasses. The evening was perfect, and I can't wait to host another- perhaps with some new faces.
